i installed the all in one package
it works perfectly fine
but still i miss the support of .mkv .m2v (matroska) files i would be thankfull if u'd guys add the support in this codec pack and that it runs properly all together. cuz i've had some bad experience installing the all in one codec pack along with matroska-packs then sometimes my videoplayer crashes or i get alot of cpu action and my pc gets laggy
i hope u will consider it

I want to uninstall this, but can't.
Everytime I do, it tells me theres shared files left and whether I want to remove them. I tried both options (yes and no) and after each one, when trying to install any other codecs it says the certain files (the shared ones) cannot be accesed or something along those lines.
Please help!

i will kindly ask the admins of this site to take 10 minutes and install this pack somewhere - it does have uninstall - and then remove the naughty FALSE 'do-not-install' nuts from comments.
to all others - someone really hates to admit that this pack is cool and great.
but, the liar is liar - firstly, this pack DOES have one of the cleanest uninstallers around.

this piece of software is great. tested on too much different pc's - more than 50 - at different users, even with almost massacred codecs, i want to say only the following to you, ape-asses:
all you morons that are lying about 'crashes' and sh!t - you are, yes, simply liars.
this stuff do have clean uninstall. works great.
and all you, liars (YES, SCUMBAGS!) - you are pretty much piece'o'nuts as your own 'self-experience' nutsty claims.
that's it.
everyone else: there are much codec packs. but i do prefer this one, still.
had no single problem arised from the pack itself.

All I know is, this codec pack has finally fixed the chipmunks and super fast video at cnn and msnbc video links in IE using WMP9. I've spent months, off and on, trying to figure this one out, including upgrading to WMP 10 and 11 and trying just about every "manual" adjustments I found on the web.
It also fixed cnn in Firefox. The video window came up but just did nothing. I had managed to get msnbc to work in FF but nothing I tried would get cnn to work. Until now.
I do get a false positive HTML/Feebs.Gen warning with AntiVir in IE ONLY at cnn ONLY when the video starts to load, but since I primarily use FF, I can put up with that inconvenience. AntiVir said they'd fixed that, but the fix isn't working for me.
So far everything else on my system is working normally. Judging from all the negative comments, maybe I've just been lucky. But I don't have a lot of other codec packs, separate media players, etc installed to cause conflicts. That might be the difference.

I had no problem installing this pack on XP nor have I had any problem on Vista.
Downloaded Latest ep of 24 and had no audio!
Downloaded the pack... hmmm say the least im sorted now!

A lot of negative comments here. Here is some positive.
My experience with the codecs is that they work just fine. Never had a crash. I can see all the videos I download.
About the uninstall - If I go to Add/Remove programs I can uninstall it - but then again why should I :)

I've used this since 2 years ago and don't have any problem (Windows XP Pro, FR version, without any codec installed before AllInOne). However, now I see many negative comments here, I decide to look for others "all in one" pack. Before, this package was my only choice, and I was pleased with it.

There seems to be alot of negative comments. This program gave my system no trouble but opening a video file seems to take about 10 seconds longer than it should. I blame myself for not reading instructions or removing old codecs.

I highly recommend NOT installing this codec pack. The big reason is because it HAS NO UNINSTALL. This is a very big deal. It seems people have about a 50/50 success rate, with the unlucky half experiencing problems that require reinstalling Windows. If you choose to install this, make sure you have a way of rolling back your Windows installation - unlike me. :-(

This codec pack is absolutely awful. Very unprofessional and unrefined with poor grammar and spelling. Anyone who thinks this is a good codec pack does not have a keen eye for what makes things good and what makes things awful. It doesn't even come with an uninstall option.

I do not recommend this codec. As other users have commented, at the end of a playing a file, it also caused my computer to crash and restart, saying that it had a serious error. The problem with these all-in-one codecs is that they install components that your computer does not need and are incompatible with the current system. I recommend downloading a program called GSpot. Run this program with your problem files and it will tell you which codec is needed. You can download and install the codecs you do need and stay away from this MALWARE.
